Bobby, Great DIY Project it’s just what I was looking for. Thanks and Happy Kegging.
Im about a month away from doing this. Thanks for making a great intructional, it will help me a lot!
Great idea putting the collar on the lid, not the body of the freezer. Innovative!
Do you think this size freezer would hold a full keg? I am making one to hold Guinness, but I can only get a full keg of beer, no half or quarter kegs. Thoughts? Thx.
Just brew your own Guiness (clone) and use cornies in it. You will LOVE your beer that much more, and you will have plenty of room for your other brews too.
I’m sure it would hold a full keg but it’s probably overkill. A 1/2BBL keg is about 15.5″ in diameter.
Great video. It helped me visualize what I’m planning to do with mine.
Question: Does it matter what type of wood you use for the collar? Pine, cedar, etc.? Which did you use?
I used poplar but it really doesn’t matter all that much.
having the craving to do this for a while now, but I know I will be moving soon so I figure I will just wait till I get settled into the new place.
