I just bought a chest freezer to have more capacity for frozen foods that I can store more long term. Now that I’ve transferred my items from my refrigerator’s freezer to my chest freezer, nothing is left in the upright besides my ice trays. What do people use their regular freezer for if they have this other option?

chevyrebel20_08 asked:

I have a Whirlpool 7.3 cubic foot chest freezer. It was around 9 months old when I got it from my aunt. I connected it up, let it get cold, and is 3 / 4 of the way full. Since I got my electric bill has risen to about $ 25 – $ 30 extra each month. I have done anything different in my use of electricity …, except to put in. I looked in the freezer and the manual says it is using KWT about 294 per year. That on average about $ 3-4 a month, not $ 30! Any advice on how to check and see if there are any problems with the freezer … which is in constant operation and will not start. Any advice, suggestions? PLZ! Oh, and was rejected on 2 1 / 2, so it is not high!
