Chest Freezer Leaking and/or Sweating Underneath?

Posted by on 02 Jan 2011 | Tagged as: Haier

Hi, I haven’t had the leisure to defrost my freezer and it was well
overdue for one.Its an Haier model hcm050wa and it has my
floor wet.I finally defrosted it and thought maybe I would check it
and had someone to tilt it over and it was sweating underneath looked
like condensation. Is this normal for a freezer? Did this result from letting too much ice accumulate inside? I also would like to mention that I did not remove the drain plug when I defrosted it but noticed the other day it had ice formulated in it,and when I poured some warm/hot water thru it to melt it,this is what seem to have reduced the floor wetness. There is not much water on the floor as before but when moving the freezer it is always a smear of condensation I guess which leads me to believe there is still an issue. Thanks
Thanks everyone turns out condensation were all it were to be and the unit is fine.

Is there a DIY fix for my freezer?

Our Haier chest freezer stopped working after I plugged another appliance into same circuit. Is there a part I could replace myself to get it running again?
Should have mentioned- it is not a circuit breaker, we are running a small air conditioner on that circuit now, and the freezer doesn’t work no matter where it is plugged in.
